Happy Mother’s Day

Mommy, let’s play! “Chamois, my new colt, reaches to whisper a few words to Mom,” says owner Joyce Shaw of Onyx, California.

Inseparable. Two-week-old Thumbelina and her mama Minnie Mouse bond at their winter home north of Cortez, Colorado.

I love ewe. “I took this photo at a farm owned by the  University of Delaware,” says Kelly Smith of Rehoboth, Delaware. “The ewe and her lamb are named Mom and Long John.”

What are ewe looking at? “This mother sheep and lamb belong to my father-in-law,” says Kelly Hayes from Port Murray, New Jersey.

Sweet greeting. “I was in Varney, Ontario touring at an old farmstead when I was greeted by these adorable cows. They seemed as interested in me as I was in them,” writes Laura Billings, Niagara Falls, New York.

Happy pair. “This is our doe Angel and her kid Flower,” notes Simone Mick from Couer d’Alene, Idaho.

Oh, happy day. “We like to call this picture: That magic moment when mother and daughter see eye to eye,” says Dan and Virginia Beach, Aurora, Colorado.

Safe with Mom. “I took this photo at King’s Dairy in Dry Creek, Louisiana,” shares Donna Whatley of Lake Charles, Lousiana. “The calf was born just several hours before I took the photo. His legs were still pretty shaky!”

Heavenly sunshine. “Pictured at Minni Whinny Farm is our foal, Minny Whinny’s Frisky Fawn, lying next to her mother, Apple Dumplin’s Mini Muffin, in Walcott, New York,” says Valerie Reynolds, Wolcott, New York.

A mother’s love. “This photo was taken in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where the photographer and her husband were keeping their cattle,” says Carol Bare, Weed, California.
