1946 John Deere H restored by Mark Sheridan of Yamill, Oregon. “I bought this tractor from my cousin,” Mark says. “The sheet metal was near perfect, but the rest of the tractor was a basket case. We had to cut the crank and rods to accept inserts, weld and turn down the cam and rebuild the front and final drives. “Thanks to the Internet, I was able to find all the parts I needed. To get it ready to paint, I sandblasted all the parts that didn’t have bearings or moving parts and hand-sanded the rest. One cool thing about the finished product is that the tires are original War Department-approved rubber!”
